Idag var jag och flera andra fruar inne i London för att äta lunch tillsammans och för att träffa Andrea som flyttar tillbaka till USA. Eftersom Andrea älskar ost så blev det Gordon’s wine bar där vi hade bokat ett bord nere i källaren.
Vi var 13 stycken som spenderade ett par timmar tillsammans med massa skratt och prat. Det var till och med andra gäster som kom och frågade vem vi var och hur vi kände varandra eftersom vi verkade ha så vansinnig roligt ihop.
Jag var hemma igen strax efter 15 och då kom tjejerna också. Vi gjorde oss iordning eftersom vi skulle iväg på kvällen. Vid 17 gick det en buss från basen in till West End där vi skulle titta på Thriller Live och vi var ca 50 st som åkte in.
Musikalen var helt fantastisk och det var inte så mycket story utan mer en berättelse om Michael Jacksons framgångar från det att han var i Jackson Five över både hans och andras låtar (han inspirerade ju många artister) till att avslutas med Black or White. Han som spelade MJ som liten hade en ganska så svag röst men hjälptes av de andra, och han som spelade MJ som vuxen var ingen höjdarsångare men väldigt lik honom. Vi tror att han ibland bara mimade. Men de andra sångarna var helt otroliga och dansarna extremt duktiga. De dansade i stort sett hela föreställningen och svetten rann men hela tiden med ett leende och glimten i ögat.
Alla var helnöjda även om Peter föredrog sista delen då hans mest kända låtar spelades. Publiken engagerades också och det klappades sittande i stolarna men också stående och de fick även publiken till att dansa. Nästa sak vi ska iväg på är Classical Spectacular i Royal Albert Hall.

Today I and several other wives in London to have lunch together and to see Andrea before she moves back to the US. As Andrea loves cheese we went to Gordon’s Wine Bar where we had booked a table in the cellar.
We were 13 ladies who spent a few hours together with a lot of talks and laughter. It was even other guest at the place that came up and asked who we were and how we knew each other as we seemed to have a lot of fun together.
I was home shortly after 3 pm and then the girls came to. We got ready to leave again just before 5 pm as there was a bus leaving the base and going to the West End of London. We were going to see Thriller Live together with 50 others from the base.
The musical was fantastic and it wasn’t so much story but a ride through Michael Jackson’s musical life from the time with the Jackson Five through his and other artists songs (he inspired a lot of other artist) to the ending with Black or White. The boy who played MJ as a child had quite a weak voice but was helped by the others. The guy who played MJ as an adult wasn’t the best singer among the crew but he was very much looking like MJ. The other singers had great voices and the dancers were extremely talented. They danced through the entire show and the sweating like crazy but always with a smile on their face and sparkling eyes.
Everyone was really happy but Peter liked the second part best as they were doing all MJ’s most famous songs. The audience were engaged and were clapping in their seat, standing and even dancing. Next thing we are going to is Classical Spectacular in Royal Albert Hall.
