I måndags var jag tillsammans med Cindy och tittat på en utställning om Kelterna. Jag har alltid trott att det var ett folkslag här i UK men så är det inte. Redan på romarnas tid så fanns det kelter och det var mer eller mindre de som inte levde en medelhavslivsstil men det finns inget dokumenterat om att de skulle funnits på denna ö. Däremot Frankrike, Tyskland, norra Italien, Tjeckien och lite in i Spanien, Danmark. Ja, man lär så länge man lever så är det.
Det var intressant att titta och om man tänker på att de flesta föremålen var från 400-500 år f.Kr så är det helt fantastiskt. Hur de kan fastställa allt detta tycker jag imponerande men att sen hitta saker som faktiskt är nästintill helt oskadda är otroligt.
Även om man bokade en tid så var det mycket folk där och det finns alltid människor som ska stå 10 minuter vid varje objekt och helst så nära att ingen annan ser något. Men är man lång så kunde man kika över axeln ibland. Många av smyckena var stora, tunga och såg påkostade ut så det kan ju inte varit vem som helst som ägt dem. Det blev några timmar där innan vi fikade och åkte hemåt igen.
Var ganska så trött när jag kom hem eftersom jag började dagen med att köra ett Dancersice-pass innan.

On Monday I went to the British Museum for an exhibition about the Celts together with Cindy. I have always thought that the Celts were a people from here but that’s not true. Already when the Romans were ruling there were Celts and it was more or less people not living a Mediterranean lifestyle and there was no documentation that they were living on this island at that time. They were in Germany, former Czechoslovakia, northern Italy, some part of Spain and Denmark. Well you learn something new every day.
It was very interesting to see and if you think about that most of the object were from 400-500 B.C it’s incredible. How they now this is impressive and to find things that old that are more or less intact is incredible.
Even if we had booked a specific time for entrance it was crowded and of course there are always people that are going to stand 10 minutes in front of every object and close enough so that nobody else can see. But if you are tall sometimes you could look over their shoulder. Many of the jewelries were large, heavy and looked like they haven’t belonged to an ordinary person. We had a few hours there before heading home after some coffee.
Was fairly tired coming home as I started the day with some Dancersice before the museum.
