Today we went to a place I had read about. It’s called Heritage Village and is at place where they have saved old houses from around Pinellas County which is the county on the peninsula where Clearwater and St Petersburg are.
The houses were from between 1850 and about 1930. By each house there was small information about the house and the family that first lived there. It was very interesting even if the history is very new compared to many places in Europe.
Among the things they had was an outhouse and some information about how it works. The group in front of us was disgusted by how it works =) They are still around in Sweden in old summer houses where they don’t have indoor water =)
When this house was moved first time the new owner took it down piece by piece and numbered every piece.
