Softball @ USF

We’ve been to baseball games but it’s not our thing. Today we decided to try watching softball instead.

Simply explaining the difference – softball throws underhand while baseball throws overhand, the softball field is smaller and the ball is bigger in softball. From the beginning the hall was softer but they’re harder nowadays.

We went to the softball field on USF (University of South Florida) to see USF Bulls play against Tulsa. Even if no team scored the first innings it was interesting. But half the experience was watching the Bulls not being on the field – their support was entertaining.

We had two and a half hours of entertainment and don’t mind going back again. As it was Easter and a college team their wasn’t a lot of spectators so next time we probably don’t have to pre book the tickets.

When the game was over we headed for lunch. Peter had found a diner on our way home and we decided to go there. Nearing it we started to second guess the decision but decided to go in. It looked like a typical diner that you see in the movies, the waitress as old as the place and the service as friendly.

The food was ok but we decided when leaving that it isn’t a place to go back to. Continuing towards home we stopped at Angry Chair Brewing.
