Today we wanted to show our friends St Pete and also visit a new spot to us. We started at Coffeepot Bayou which is south of Weedon Island Preserve. The area gives you a picturesque drive in St. Petersburg. Where the name comes from I have no idea.
We did a bit of a walking along Coffee Pot Boulevard and was even so lucky that we saw a guy catch a sting ray. You are not allowed to catch them so once he had reeled it in close enough he had to cut the line.
We then wanted to drive along the Coffee Pot Blvd onto N Shore Dr all the way down to the St Pete Pier but as there was some type of event happening they had closed off some roads. But we got to the pier eventually. By this point we needed something to drink as it was 32 degrees C outside. Had a drink at the beginning of the pier and then walked out and back.
Now we were hungry and drove over to OCC Road House for food and entertaining.
