Time has been flying and the last weekend was busy.
Friday I went to Treasure Island to have lunch with a friend. In the evening we had dinner at Season 52 with Rebecca and Steve. A lovely day.
Saturday we had fika at Sucré Table and it was almost as going to a café in Europe. Lovely baked goods and really nice coffee. We then had dinner at Renee and Don’s house with talks and laughter and a promise to do it again around Christmas.
Sunday we loaded our bikes and drove to Dunedin to do part of Pinellas Trail. The trail starts in south St Pete and goes all the way up past Tarpon Springs, a stretch of 80 km in total. We did Dunedin-Tarpon Springs-Dunedin which gave us 27 km back and fort. I think it was a good part as it was fairly shady and it was needed with 32C.
A shower before meeting Pat and Rich at Ponte Modern American for the best food I’ve had in a long time. We’ve eaten well here but Ponte was outstanding in so many ways.
Monday Peter was off and our plan was to go to Egmont Key in the morning. It’s an island and you can only get there by boat. When having breakfast we saw that there was bad weather coming and I do not want to be stuck on a boat or island when Florida thunderstorms rolls in. We ended up not going elsewhere as it was rain and thunder along all of the coast, was thinking of Caladesi Island instead. Did some organising my packing before we went to CinéBistro to see the movie Oppenheimer. As we went to Los Alamos when we were in New Mexico and the museum there it was interesting to see the movie.
